Recently Vega Protocol announced a start of validators onboarding as the second of three launch phases, in which the public Vega chain becomes live for staking and governance.

There will be only 13 validators at the start of the Restricted Mainnet phase, and selection process will include community feedback on validators. We have already submitted our validator profile as a candidate and we ask our community for support!

If you don’t know what Vega Protocol is and why Ryabina desires to join, read our overview below!

What is VEGA?

Vega is a protocol for trading margined financial products on a fully decentralised network…

Beside the other exiting features Graphscan.io allows users to estimate their future income on planned delegation. The calculations are made on the assumption that the proposed delegation will be added to the allocation by the Indexer according to the current ratios. No query fees are included in these calculations.

Note! These calculations are only a criterion for the indexer’s performance at the moment based on current active allocations. We don’t guarantee that delegators will get that exact percentage of rewards.

Subgraph total daily rewards (SDR)

Step 1. Enter GraphScan.io and choose Indexer to delegate your GRTs. Detailed Indexer information placed there as well as rewards calculator will help you to make the best choise.

Recently we were pleased to announce our collaboration with Equilibrium, a Polkadot-based interoperable money market. Ryabina will enter Equilibrium’s existing stable of network validators and set up our Substrate Telegram alert bot to help Equilibrium community track noteworthy network events.

Ryabina chose Equilibrium as a partner for several reasons. With the current DeFi hype, dozens of new financial products enter the market every day, while Equilibrium proved itself as a strong DeFi project built by fintech veterans. …

The economic model of The Graph is complicated and has a lot of nuances. That’s why Ryabina published a series of “How it works” guides.

You might have missed our previous blog posts, “The Graph Network launch. How to delegate?” and “Graph Network. Fee Cut and Rewards Cut: How It Works.” In this article we describe the distribution of rewards to Delegators.

What you should know when delegate your GRT:

  • You pay a one-time fee equal 0,5% of all your stake for delegating and these tokens are burnt.
  • When delegating you get shares of Indexer’s pool. Quantity of shares received is determined by Delegation Exchange Rate, which is…

TL;DR

  • Fee/reward cuts percentages displayed in the fee/reward cuts columns don’t show the fact fee charged from delegators;
  • Some Indexers have zero or even negative fee/reward cuts right now;
  • To make this business cost-effective Ryabina will set up a fee floating model, depending on the sum of delegations it will have;
  • In the near future, to make fact fee close to 10%, Ryabina will use a dynamic model of cuts. Fee/reward cuts% displayed on https://network.thegraph.com/ will be between 16% and 21% (estimates).

As we already know the relationships between Indexers and Delegators are regulated with the fee and rewards cuts.

WHAT IS GRAPH?

‘The Graph’ is a decentralized protocol that enables the indexing and querying of data via ‘subgraphs’. The Graph optimizes data acquisition from any supported source, beginning with the Ethereum ecosystem, making it possible to efficiently query blockchain data without relying on a centralized service provider.

There are four roles in The Graph Network: Indexers, Curators, Delegators and Consumers. To ensure economic security of The Graph Network and the integrity of data being queried, participants stake and use Graph Tokens (GRT).

Indexer — and this is Ryabina’s role in Graph — is a node operator in The Graph…

So now you have an account with some DOT or KSM tokens and you want to get more with nominating validators. The quantity of validators is huge, from large companies to single nodes.
